Their common desire to produce pipe organs of the highest quailty became the basis for a successful partnership.  Their first work was praised by organ experts and organists, and within a very short time one order followed another, until their reputation as impeccable artisans began to spread widely. 

Today, fifteen organ builders are employed, and the team continues to grow along with the number of new organs.  Their considerable experience in the field of restoration of both mechanical and pneumatic organs has lead to an international reputation for Jager & Brommer, leading to continued growth of new orders.

Pipe organs have been produced in Waldkirch since 1779, a long tradition from which we have inherited much.  All parts of the instruments are fabricated in traditional ways, guaranteeing a long life span and satisfied organists.  Local timbers of the Black Forest and Alsace-Lorraine regions are milled, including only the best oakwood, according to the highest principles of the craft, which demands a lot of skill and knowledge.  Each organ is especially conceived and constructed for its specific locality, which is studied carefully with reference to humidity, temperature and acoustics prior to planning.

The scaling is carefully worked out, and the voicing is always done on site by our specialist voicer Heinz Jager to make each organ suit its environment.  Thus, organs of the highest precision and finest sound are created.
